Why “Omniverse”?

The word “Omniverse” combines “omni” (everything, all) and “universe,” signifying an all-encompassing realm. This name perfectly captures the essence of my newsletter, bringing together news and insights from web3, gaming, metaverse, AR/VR, and AI. “Omniverse” represents the vast and interconnected digital ecosystem we explore, making it a strong and captivating name for my weekly updates.

Join me on this journey through the “Omniverse”, where all digital realms converge.

The gaming industry is in a constant state of flux, with stories emerging and fading away rapidly. Yet, amidst the whirlwind of change, there are tales that capture our imagination and refuse to be forgotten. These fleeting stories, marked by revolutionary actions, offer us a glimpse into the future and the chance to be a part of it.

The question of whether to use AI in gaming is a pivotal one. In the gaming industry, there are diverse approaches to generative AI technologies. Here are a few examples:

Embracer Group believes AI will ‘empower’ game developers: “Not using AI for relevant tasks within Embracer Group will lead to us losing competitiveness and being outrun by our competitors,” the company says.

Meta plans to bring generative AI to metaverse games: Meta plans to bring more generative AI tech into games, specifically VR, AR and mixed reality games, as the company looks to reinvigorate its flagging metaverse strategy.
